This is a true story.   No names have been changed to protect the innocent.

Went up to check out the new Marvine Trail off of Parker street in Scranton.    I drove on some side streets and ended up on Dean Street by these stone abutments.

Circa 1996 I was following an rail line on an older Scranton Street map, that showed older rail lines.   Old O&W ROW.  Checked it on an O&W Book.  I don't think the line was marked on that old street map.  I can not find the map at this time.

So back in 1996 I was driving around Scranton trying to follow this line.  I stopped on Dean Street and took some photos with my Pentax K-1000.   I got home and I could not find the lens cap.   Looked everywere.  I thought I may have dropped it doing photography.   The next day it snowed heavliy.   The next weekend it was snowy too.

About two weeks later after the snow melted I went back up to the abutments on Dean Street.   Low and behold the lens cap was lying on the side of the road.

Good thing for me Scranton does not plow the roads much.

Part of a Rail To Trail goes behind the abutment on Depot Street.
