The forlorn Lackwanna Avenue Bridge is blocked off awaiting construction of a new bridge. The new bridge is supposed to use part of the concrete arch as a decoration in the design.
The one lane had been blocked off for several years due to holes in the deck.
The new bridge will be a deck bridge and have concrete obelisks at the ends like the old bridge.
The old CNJ station and St. Vladamirs Church is on the opposite side.
