Looking back to June 2011 ... 

Digging thru some pictures of the Huber Breaker.   Going back to the Summer of 2011.  Notice the sign - FUTURE SITE OF MINERS MEMORIAL  HuberBreaker.org.   Well we got the memorial but the breaker is torn down.   

Glad I took all the pictures of the Huber that I did over the years.

And we can not forget ...

  • Behind the Breaker was a huge yard owned by the CNJ
  • There was also a Car Shop and Engine Terminal
  • Only a few traces of the CNJ remain

Tidbit : 


In the DL&W Scranton Station, 
now the Radisson,there are about
20 ceramic tile work mosaics around 
the main concourse of the building. 
The tile work pictures were supposed to
represent locations on the railroad.
