Here the fan from the Dorrance Colliery Fan House has been removed. I guess it is getting prepared for its move. It is supposed to go to the Number 9 Mine Museum in Lansford. The thick wooden fan blades have been removed.
For years Dr. Jansov tried to get this fan taken to LCCC in Nanticoke, but those plans fell throught.
It kind of looks like some sinister Ferris Wheel. If I had to guess it is probably 80 to 100 years old.
