Here is the demolition of the Dorrance Fan House Complex. I think I was going in there since i was in 6th grade. The shaft house was the one you wanted to stay out of.
Anyway, at one time Professor Janasov from LCCC wanted to have the fans removed and displayed at LCCC. That never happened.
As far as I know, the fan was supposed to go to the Number 9 Musuem in Lansford. Not really sure if this is happening.
There was an air lock made of these huge door in the building on the bottom of the hill. On the top of the hill there was supposed to be all steam engines to drive the fans. The steel, copper and brass had been stripped out years ago.
I guess this will just be an empty lot now.
