Riverwalk Trail, O&W Abutment, Carbondale, PA |

So the other day I was doing photography of Historcal Markers and buildings in Carbondale. I saw this red and yellow writing on what I thought was a building. Walked down to it and discovered it was the start of the Riverwalk Trail. The artwork was on a former O&W Bridge abutment. It actually looks pretty cool. A steam locomotive on one side ... an coal miner on the other. A sign says the D&H Gravity Railroad Plane No. 1 started just east of there. Across the river was the D&H Railroad Yard. The smoke stack, near the old D&H roundhouse is across the river from here. I wish i knew the trail was there. Another time I will have to explore it. This trail connects into the D&H and O&W Trails.
