NS units haul a train northbound across the Gauntlet

It is early August and the sun is starting to set earlier in the evening.

The river is quite low this time of year.

Too bad it is not 3 Delaware and Hudson Alco locomotives in the Lightning Stripe scheme.

Traffic still seems to be slow due to the sluggish economy. Maybe things will pick up soon.

Also CP has been using some of the big AC units on its trains.

We may never recapture the glory days of the Delaware and Hudson but at least we can see some good trains and road power. It has been a long time since there were any coal trains thru the area too. Some unit commodity trains would be nice too.

In the DL&W Scranton Station, 
now the Radisson,there are about
20 ceramic tile work mosaics around 
the main concourse of the building. 
The tile work pictures were supposed to
represent locations on the railroad.
