A Southbound drifts lazily thru Kirby Park on the Wilkes-Barre/Kingston border. The park is actually Wilkes-Barre. NS Blacks and an ex Conrail unit hauls the train.

Tidbit :


This section of track, along with the Fish Island Bridge, has been fraught with deaths over the years.

Many people walk along the tracks and try to cross the bridge here.



This is the old Wilkes-Barre Connecting Railroad, a line built to bypass the congested downtown Wilkes-Barre trackage. For may years it was owned by the Delaware and Hudson. The Current owner is Canadian Pacific.
