Here we have a train heading North across Main Street in Plains also known as the Oakies This section of Plais was known as the Oakwood Section of the Oakies, probably due to he large stands of Oak Trees there. There were stories of people here squatting in the 40s and 50s setting up makshift shacks and shanties. They said they used to eat the pigeons there. Not sure how true this was, but there were some Company Homes just off of Main Street, all have been demolished many years ago.
