The R&N ran 3 excursions for the Mahaony City Community Day.
They left from the site of the former Mahanoy City Train Station. A fellow ride explained that it was demolished in the late 1980s. They should have kept the building he said. They could have reused it for somthing like they did in Tamaqua or Jim Thorpe.
Basically the foundations, steps and retaining walls mark the site today.
