Shots of the new Pittston Rail with Trail that linked up with the Pittston Riverfront Project. The Rail with Trail follows the former trackage of the Lehigh Valley Canal Branch or Passenger Main as it was also called. It passes the site of the Knox Mine Disaster. I am not too crazy about the fence.
The trail was not even opened for a week and someone had vandalized the fence on parts of it. Pittston Police are investigating and vow to patrol the trail in the future.
