New Street Crossing, Out Of Service |
+ Larger Font | + Smaller Font February 21, 2010
The Reading and Northern has taken the New Street Duryea Crossing out of service. They were concerned that a tractor-trailer could get hung up there. It was a bad crossing, very steep. When you went over it in a car you could not see the bottom of the hill. Used to sit by the Pot Belly bar and watch the trains go by.
