Some shots of the remains of Hanson's Roller Coaster, the Speed Hound. The Lehigh Valley Railroad Bowmans Creek Branch went through this opening in the roller coaster on its way to Noxen and points north. The park closed in 1984 and it has been about 22 years since it was in operation. The park did have a second life as the Bud Light Ampitheater in the early 90's.
There was talk of building townhomes and condos here, but I don't know what had happened. They built some at the entrance to the lake. I don't like them, they seem to crowded, but that is just my opinion.
