Here is a pile of ties in Hudson, PA. These are remains of the CNJ. As I recall in the late 70's, early 80's ... the D&H had a branch that went through Miners Mills to East End. Some maps call it the Miner's Mills Industrial Track. The CNJ had 2 tracks that went from Hudson yard through Miner's Mills, by the Station off East Main Street, then through Parsons to East End. It connected to trackage near Conygham Ave. So much trackage has been removed over the years.

Tidbit :In the DL&W Scranton Station, now the Radisson,there are about 20 ceramic tile work mosaics around the main concourse of the building. The tile work pictures were supposed to represent locations on the railroad. |
