Here are some photos of the Sullivan Trail Colliery from  Mark Skesavage.   Mark says the photos date from the 1930's. 

His grandfather worked at the Breaker as an  Electrical Engineer in the late 1930's early 1940's.   Look at all those old cars.   Also notice in the pictures all the cut wood.  I guess they were timbers used in the mines to shore up the cieling.

Tidbit :


In the DL&W Scranton Station, 
now the Radisson,there are about
20 ceramic tile work mosaics around 
the main concourse of the building. 
The tile work pictures were supposed to
represent locations on the railroad.
