A horn is sounded at 10PM to warn Swoyersville that the Curfew begins for underage persons. 

Just a single blast.  All the horns I heard in the past were like 2 or 3 blasts.   

Maybe it is ghost trains from the Erie Lackawanna Bloomsburg Line ?

Up untill about three years ago there was someome in the West Side, maybe Swoyersville, who used to blow horns. At one time I thought it was the L&S going down River Street in Plains, but apparently not.

Best I could figure is maybe it was one of the Hose Companies over on the West Side. Used to hear the horns at night and in the morning, and sometimes in the evening, but never late at night.

Then the horns stopped. Funny thing is that it was not like a whistle post. It was like three short blasts most of the time. Maybe it was someone with a tractor trailer playing around.
