June 13, 2006 Out using the Kowaflex this past weekend. It was a cloudy day. The light meter was not working right. I could not figure out why. Thought it was because I was holding upward and there was not enough light going into the meter. Next day I was using it indoors - it worked great. Then I realized what the problem was. I had my hand over the solar cell that powers the light meter. Duh. I always held my Pentax K-1000 the same way, but it has no solar cell to block on the top of the camera. Anyway, once the problem was realized and fixed, the camera was loaded with Black and White film and I was on my way again.
