Irishtown Residents Stranded By Circus Train

From a Letter to the Editor from I think the Times-Leader :

Residents of the Irishtown section of Plains, Twp were upset that they were stranded for up to 2 hours on June 2nd by the Ringling Bros. Circus Train.

Many were late for work serveral hours as they were trapped in Irishtown.

The bridge on the other side of Irishtown had washed out almost 2 years ago and has not been repaired yet.

Alll of the houses in the patch were cut off by the train - what would have happened if there was a fire or medical emergancy while the only way in was blocked by a train ?

When is Luzerne County going to repair the washed out bridge ?
