It was almost 50 degrees today. Went for a walk around West Pittston... here is a unique buiding. It was used by the Gas Company. Was it PG&W back in the day ? I recall in years past they used to have trucks based here but now it looks like the building is not used for that. It looks like it is some sort of pump house or something to do with the delivery of gas. It hs a neat cupola.
This was the Gas Company logo back in the day - a blue gas flame and a green pine tree inside it, meanig gas was good for the environment.
The office area still has 2 air conditoners in it ... none of the meth monkeys stole it yet... also a radio antenna on the roof.
There is a vent to ventilate this area that has some sort of machinery or pumps in it.
We can see the old DL&W Bloomsburg Branch trestle in the background.
