On a recent trip to the PA Sands Casino in Bethlehem,  There were still things left over from the Steel Mill.  From the Casino Parking lot ... the blast furnaces.

This was the trestle that was used to supply the mill with raw material ... I think the biggest of the In-Plant rail equipment were the Charging Larrys ... they looked like a barn or a shed on wheels.  From what I gather there were several gauges of track throughout the plant.

They want to restore this trestle into a walkway.  They call it the Hoover Mason Trestle.   I do not know the meaning of this name.   When it is done you are supposed to be able to walk amound the ruins of the Blast Furnaces.

Eventually the Trestle will let you walk past this area, where the bast furnaces are.

I don't think anyone who worked at the Steel Plant would ever think it would be turned into a Casino and Shopping.

Tidbit :

In the DL&W Scranton Station,
now the Radisson,there are about
20 ceramic tile work mosaics around
the main concourse of the building.
The tile work pictures were supposed to
represent locations on the railroad.
