On a recent bike ride thru the Oakies in Plains, we find a unique species of tree - the beer ball tree.
Back in the 80s people used to party here and sitck bottles, cans, whatever on the trees.
So I guess as a joke someone stuck a beer ball on a little tree. Well the little tree grew up. Those beer balls used to be real popular. They do not sell them much anymore. There was a time when they were hard to find. Now here and there you can come across one.
