A recent article about Betty White being in advertising campaigns for Jewelcor jogged my memory.
I got the camera from the Gateway Shopping Center.The camera cost $150.00 and a 50mm lens was $50. Jewelcor was a "Catalog Showroom" format store. You could look at a printed catalog and call and place an order. Or you could visit the store and pick out the merchandise or give the clerk the item number.
The store and chain closed probably 15 years before the widespread adoption of E-commerce and Internet shopping. Stroud's and Service Merchandise worked on a similar "Catalog Showroom" model.
A very nice 35mm camera for the price.
