Looking at some pictures of the Zinc Factory in Palmerton. These are from 07.11.00 - when I had a day off and first went to Jim Thorpe.
The mountians in the background have been defoiliated from the smoke coming from the plant. There was a picture of this plant in one of the Morningsun LV RR books.
To the best of my knowledge the main building has been demolished.
