No News About Proposed Nacerno Plant

It is strange that we have never heard anything more about that proposed Nacerno Plant in Newport Twp.  That was a going to be a Gasification plant, converting natural gas to gasoline.  All the local media had run was stories about rowdy construction workers getting drunk and looking for hookers and drugs. 

Then the next thing was how much are the rents going to skyrocket to house these people, we need housing complexes for the workers.   We don't have enought places for the regular residents let alone the construction workers ... 

Mind you a foundation had not even been dug or a single brick laid and they are worried about this   

A Rail Connection ? 

People were speculation a plant of that size would have a rail connection to take away tank cars of this new gasoline ... but no mention of this.   They would rather have tanker trucks drive down winding mountain roads.  Economy of scale would say railroad tank cars would carry more then road trucks. 

A Pipeline Would Be Another Option 

The plans made no mention of a pipeline.  A pipleine could make sense but this would be a big investment in intrastructure.
