There is a short concrete structure withsteel beams arcoss it.
I think it was to unload coal hoppers.

Riding on a trail below the tracks, I saw about 10 ties
sticking out near the top. I went up to look and it turns out
these ties were leftovers from the four tracks that used to
leave the south end of the yard. There were trees were the
ties were sticking out from.

I rode around some side streets and crossed the CP tracks. I
saw the cut in thhe pavement on Main street that was from
the CNJ I believe. It looks like this long gone branch
connected with the CP (D and H) at one time.

I took some more side streets and got onto a trail that was
the cnj line. I pass ed what was a tunnel for the mine cars to
use to go under the D and H.

I went home and change modes of transport again to car. I
was out shopping and decided to check the Sunbury line at
Buttonwood. At the Crossroads, there was some MOW
equipment on the tracks. The tracks are close to the former
right-of-way of the Wilkes-Barre Traction Company.

I caught the P job comming back from the Merck Plant near
Air Products.

5527 and 8230 was pulling about 8 tanks.Several cars ran
the crossing, even though the red signals were on. The
engineer let out a few blasts of the airhorn as motorbikes
raced up the tracks. The area near the crossing they are
redoing looked like a supply dump, with piles of ties and
rail, trucks, and all manner of MOW equipment.
