Sun, 9 Jun 2002 Railrats : Saturday - Wilkes-Barre and Kingston : Out on the mountain bike, hot. Caught a big train going SB across the gaunlet. 4 NS Widecab units (I think they were dash 9's. C44-9 or something like that . I thought it was a coal train. The first block of cars were hoppers. The next block of cars were autoracks, the next block of cars tank cars and a block of mixed freight at the end. Over on the Kingston side of the river, later, two NS 4 axle unis hauling a short train NB Taylor : At night went up to Taylor. The D&H Duo of #7312 and 7304 was there. A Red barn and another unit. A Sperry Rail Service unit. I think it was #138 if I rememeber correctly. And another unit was in the yard. The car of some local railfans was also in they yard but no railfans. Sunday - PJ : Quick trip to Pittston Jucntion - the R&N's Cornell Red unit and the "Quicker Picker upper" was parked by the yard office.
