stg01-24 Live from the field, via my Sharp Wizard 1 MB : Pittston Junction - Several R and N units were massing by the yard office. One new scheme unit was couples long hood forward to a cut of cars. Two more were heading upother cuts of cars on differnt tracks. As I passed on cut was moving up to the yard office. I took up position along side the tracks in Duryea. It is a damp, rainy day. Many of the streams and rivers are just about to flood. Twice I hear airhorns and jump out only to be wrong. The trains are just shifting cars and not leaving yet. A car pulls up and turnsd around next to me. It is full of foamer types. They can stand out in the cold if they want I am staying warm. If foamers are comimng the train must be ready to leave. I am doing it the old fashioned way, by ear only. My scanner is uder my seat, battery discharged. It is 2:30 now and it is getting real dark as the foamer type paces in the cold behind me. It was so dark I must have fell asleep for a while, It was near 3:00, so I moved to another spot in Avoca. After about 10 mins, #3601 and #2000 pulls a cut of about 30 cars by. Tayylor Yard - Not much, just rolling stock and railers, a few Soo hoppers
