Ahh, the Pocono Northeast Railbus. A real rail oddity. The Pocono Northeast aquired the railbus from the National Park Service at Steamtown. It was supposedly a prototype built in the UK. Was British Leyland the maker ??? Not sure. There were rumors that PNER was supposed to try service between Downtown Wilkes-Barre and Scranton beacuse there were starting to bulld the mall in Scranton and there was still stores in Wilkes-Barre at that time. Nothing happened. Shortly after these pictures were taken Pocono Northeast ceased operations.
